River commissions

The CCNR is attentive to close cooperation with the other river commissions.

There is a tradition of exchanges with the Danube Commission. The two organisations invite each other to attend their plenary meetings and their working sessions. On 22 June 2001, the two Commissions held a joint meeting, at which a joint declaration was adopted.

A Cooperation Agreement was reached in 2008 with the Moselle Commission.
In 2014, this cooperation was enhanced by a new arrangement.
The cooperation arrangement signed on 8 December 2022 replaces the 2008 and 2014 arrangements.

Strengthening of cooperation was agreed upon in 2001 with the International Commission for the Protection of the Rhine.

Collaboration with the International Commission for the Hydrology of the Rhine Basin (CHR) was reaffirmed in 2021.

There is also regular contact with the Sava Commission.
